Scotiabank Saddledome Parking – At the Venue
Planning on taking a car? At the time of this article, Scotiabank Saddledome parking is undergoing some serious construction in the surrounding areas to the venue, making the navigation a bit tricky as a result. Thankfully, the folks down at the venue have provided this helpful LIVE Access map as a way for fans to stay up-to-date on all surrounding area road closures and detours, so that fans can quickly check to see whether their intended route might no longer be an option. We highly suggest that you take a look.
That said, guests who are parking passholders can still park at the designated lots A, B, & C, located north of the venue. B & C are the unmarked parking lot east of parking lot A as pictured below.
Scotiabank Saddledome Parking – Near the Venue
Unless you’re a season passholder, Scotiabank Saddledome parking at the venue might be out of the picture or simply undesirable due to the ongoing construction. While this makes things a bit trickier, we’ve put together a list of parking locations that have been recommended from the venue and, in addition, included a few options that might very well be flying under the radar. Rideshare/Taxi
Sometimes taking an Uber, Lyft, or an old-fashioned taxi is just easier than taking a car. And since Scotiabank Saddledome parking is currently hard, you might find yourself considering whether using a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft could be more worthwhile to avoid the hassle of navigating the traffic yourself. If this resonates with you, you’ll want to set your drop-off point as the West Entrance of the Saddledome, a spot commonly referred to as the “Uber Zone.”
Bicycle Parking
Unfortunately, the Scotiabank Saddledome has no bicycle racks of their own for guests to safely secure their bikes. However, within Stampede Park—the area in which the Saddledome is located—there are a numerous bicycle racks located throughout various pedestrian pathways and near major buildings or attractions within Stampede Park, such as the Big Four Building or the Nashville North concert venue. This might require you to bike around a bit until you find an open rack, but, considering how bad the construction around the venue is, this might just be a tempting decision, weather permitting.

Public Transportation to Scotiabank Saddledome
Don’t want to deal with the stress of Scotiabank Saddledome parking? Truth be told, we don’t blame you. Thankfully Calgary Transit has a large variety of bus and rail routes that will take travelers to the ‘Dome for an affordable price that will be much less than the price of parking a personal vehicle. Again, we’d be remiss to not mention that fans to the venue ought to arrive extra early due to the ongoing construction near Stampede Park.
Light Rail Train (LRT)
Here’s what you need to know: there’s two main Light Rail Transit) LRT routes for the city of Calgary: the red line and the blue line. Do keep in mind, however, that only the red line will take passengers directly to the intended destination of Victoria Park/Stampede Station, the closest light rail station to the ‘Dome.
Blue Line (no direct access)
Unfortunately, the Blue Line does not have a route that leads passengers to a station near Scotiabank Stadium. In lieu of that, passengers will have to eventually transfer onto the Red Line at the 7th Avenue/9th Avenue SW Station, also known as City Hall Station. You should then be able to transfer onto the Red Line by simply changing platforms.
Red Line (direct access)
If you’re taking the red line to the Scotiabank Stadium, you’ll want to get off at Victoria Park/Stampede Stadium, where, chances are, plenty of other people will be exiting as well. From then on it’s a brisk walk eastward, where there should be signs and other indicators to point you in the right direction. Do note that you should be able to see the venue in a relatively short amount of time.
Bus Routes
Heading to the ‘Dome by bus? There main bus routes that connect to the Saddledome are routes 10, 17, 24, 69, 300. If you’re unfamiliar with these lines, you’ll definitely want to check out Calgary Transit’s easy-to-use trip planner, which helps travelers to schedule and plan their trips accordingly. At the time of this article, prices for a regular one-way ticket is $3.60.
